Sumptuous lamb roast

A Sunday favourite!

Serves four

Ingredients:

  • one leg of lamb
  • a teaspoon of black pepper
  • a teaspoon of white pepper
  • one lamb gravy cube
  • one swede
  • two carrots
  • two parsnips
  • a teaspoon of marple syrup
  • a teaspoon of dark soy sauce
  • one chopped onion

Method

  1. heat up oven to 180C / 350F / Gas 4
  2. place leg of lamb in a roasting pan, season with the gravy cube, black and white pepper then drizzle soy sauce and toss chopped onions on top
  3. cover with foil and cook in oven for 60 mins (until lamb is tender and falls off bone or reduce time in oven depending on cooking preference)
  4. slice all other vegetables and place into a separate oven pan, drizzle with oil and syrup.  Cook in oven for 20 minutes

Goes well with egg fried rice, any other rice or simply on its own (roast lamb and vegetables)
